Joining forces to boost energy transition

2ISECAP Transnational Living Lab (TLL) on Co-Creating the Energy Transition & Climate Actions is an initiative designed, developed, and operated by 2ISECAP project. It aims to serve as a collaborative platform for governments at all levels, together with organisations and networks of cities and communities of varying sizes, enterprises and individuals working together towards achieving the energy transition in a cost-effective and impactful way that benefits all involved stakeholder groups. The project has secured resources to support its operation throughout its duration.

2ISECAP aims to ensure that the TLL remains active as a sustainable network beyond the project duration. This network will continue to support local governments, as well as local and regional actors, in building institutional capacity to implement climate neutrality and sustainable energy transition. At this project stage the TLL operates as an experimental arena to get the project and local energy transition off the ground by experience exchange, transfer of knowledge and collaborative solutions identification to the complex issue of energy transition.

GOALS AND BENEFITS

TLL provides several, continuously updated, tools to its members:

  • Toolkits with methods, tools, and approaches to implement energy planning.
  • A Database of Practice including papers, case studies on energy transition and climate neutrality; and an advanced mechanism facilitating users to identify the most appropriate documents for the characteristics of the local area of interest.
  • A set of videos for capacity building on how to establish and operate a Living Lab focused on energy transition.

Currently, the constellation of the TLL consists of organizations and institutional actors related to SECAPs’ planning and implementation from Slovenia, Greece, Estonia, Spain, Italy, Denmark and the Netherlands, i.e. associations of urban planners, energy agencies, municipalities and environmental associations.
