Which instruments for cities’ energy transition?
On December 18, 2023, our project partner University of Brescia, together with the Ordine degli Ingegneri di Brescia, the Italian Centro Nazionale di Studi Urbanistici (CENSU), and the University Research and Documentation Center for the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda (CRA 2030), organized a seminar titled “Which instruments for cities’ energy transition?”.
Open to the public (in person and online), the seminar invited professionals, practitioners, and researchers to reflect on the existing instruments for urban energy transition concerning spatial planning and their critical aspects.
The Italian Mission Cities of Comune di Padova (our project partner), Comune di Bologna, and Comune di Firenze, part of the European Mission “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030”, presented their process to the definition of the Climate City Contracts, whereas esteemed research colleagues offered valuable insights presenting research case studies, scientific literature perspectives, and projects’ results.
A fruitful afternoon that allowed us to debate on a critical topic, yet still little addressed.
A sincere thank you to all the panelists and the participants!
