The Tartu Living Lab, established in 2022 and hosted by the Tartu City Government, is a dynamic platform aimed at facilitating sustainability and driving the circular economy in the Tartu region. With a vision of becoming a leader in circular economy practices in South Estonia by 2030, the lab brings together diverse stakeholders, including municipalities, universities, private enterprises, and community activists. A key milestone is the creation of the Tartu County Circular Economy Roadmap, which sets principles and actionable goals to reduce environmental impact, promote reuse and recycling, and advance climate neutrality.

As part of the 2ISECAP project, the Municipality of Karditsa, supported by AN.KA. S.A., is promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. Key efforts include educating the public on energy-saving measures and implementing the ‘Improving Energy Efficiency of Third Sector Enterprises’ program, which upgrades energy use in businesses within the trade, services, catering, and tourism sectors. A video was produced for this purpose.
In the framework of the 2ISECAP project, the Municipality of Karditsa, supported by AN.KA. S.A., is proactively involved in raising awareness among citizens about energy conservation. Through collaboration with diverse institutions, they are leading efforts to educate the public on energy-saving measures.
On Wednesday 30/08/2023 the 4th “Live Lab” was organized on the initiative of the Municipality of Karditsa and the support of the project team of AN.KA S.A, through the digital platform ZOOM, in the framework of the European Project 2ISECAP on “Energy Community: perspectives, challenges and activity constraints”, where the mitigation actions in the sectors of municipal buildings, facilities, domestic sector, transport and energy production according to the SECAP, and in which the action of the energy community is involved, were presented.
On 28/04/2023 the 3rd “Living Lab” was organized on the initiative of the Municipality of Karditsa and the support of the project team of AN.KA SA, through the digital platform ZOOM, in the framework of the 2ISECAP Project on “Sustainable Urban Mobility” where the mitigation actions in the transport sector according to the SECAP and the SUMP were presented
In the conference “the environment, our future….” organized by the group “Climate Change – Climate Crisis” of the 1st Experimental High School of Karditsa on 02/04/2023, AN.KA participated with the topic “Local initiatives for planning policies & actions with citizen participation, aiming to address climate change in Karditsa”.
On Friday 03/02/2023, the 2nd “Living Lab” was organized by the initiative of the Municipality of Karditsa with the support of AN.KA SA in the Municipal Council Hall. The “Living Lab” was attended by representatives of the local government, secondary education and other bodies, groups and local stakeholders.
On Thursday 17/11/2022, Municipality of Karditsa organized the 1st “Living Lab” with the support of AN.KA SA. The meeting was held in the municipal council chamber of the City Hall.
